The Application of Machine Learning on the Chemical Analysis of Gems: A Case Study on Emeralds.
Analysis of trace elements of seventy-one emeralds from nine different localities was conducted using laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). Using the LA-ICP-MS data, machine learning technology (tree classifier) was used to aid emeralds origin determination.
