Tasso Mendonça Júnior graduated in Geology from the University of Brasília/UnB, specialized in Petroleum Geology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro/UFRJ, and holds an MBA in Energy from the Fundação de Apoio ao Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica/FUNCEFET in Brasília. He has worked in Mineral Exploration companies (Anglo American/De Beers), Oil and Gas (PETROBRAS, CEBGAS, and GOIASGAS) both upstream and downstream, as well as in State Government Secretariats and Ministries, holding Director and Secretary positions, including at the National Mining Agency/ANM, where he served his first term from 2018-2021 and is currently serving his second term from 2022-2025
