José Silva Soares, widely known as Zé Silva, is a federal deputy representing Minas Gerais and a member of the Solidariedade (SD) party. An agronomist, he is also an active member of both the Mixed Parliamentary Front for Mining and the Parliamentary Front for Sustainable Mining. A long-time advocate for rural development, social inclusion, and the responsible use of mineral resources, he has led efforts to support artisanal mining, advance land regularization, and embed sustainability into Brazil’s mining agenda. Now in his fourth term, Zé Silva brings deep experience and a strong commitment to building a transparent, innovative, and community-focused mining sector.
