COMPLIANCE EXPERTS BV is a consultancy and advisory company for the international diamond and jewellery business, with relevant industry experience going back to 2000. Before 2000, Mr. Van Laere was active for almost 20 years in high-level marketing and sales management-functions with multinational companies like Nestlé, Vanity Fair, Diageo and Randstad.

Mr. Van Laere started his journey in the D&J sector in 2000-2003 as Marketing Director HRD (the Antwerp Diamond Federation) and during his tenure successfully defended the position of Antwerp as the world’s diamond capital through the creation of the Antwerp Diamond Conferences, the creation and expansion of the Antwerp Diamond Pavilions and the Antwerp Diamond Design Awards. He was also instrumental in leading the expansion of HRD abroad.
