Geosciences Researcher
Dr. Stella Bijos Guimarães holds a degree in Geology and a Master’s in Economic Geology and Prospecting from the University of Brasília, as well as a PhD in Economic Geology from the Federal University of Pará. She began her career in environmental licensing in the state of Tocantins and, since 2008, has been a Geosciences Researcher at the Geological Survey of Brazil (CPRM), focusing on mineral resources. Her expertise includes petrology, metallogeny, geochemistry, and fluid inclusions. She has contributed to research on alexandrites, emeralds, and garnets in the Goiás Granitic Massif and is currently working on gold provinces across Brazil.
